Poco distante dallo Shah c’è lo splendido Borgo marinaro di Conca dei Marini: The village of Conca dei Marini, is very suggestive and of an incomparable natural beauty. A few minutes from Shah, The Marina di Conca is a small bay surrounded by numerous small white houses and is the main seaside resort in the country, as well as the port where the boats of local fishermen still dock. Furthermore, the Marina di Conca has become famous between the sixties and the seventies for having hosted many famous people, including Gianni Agnelli, Princess Margaret of England and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
In front of The Shah you can admire The Tower of the Capo di Conca, also called Torre Saracena or Torre Bianca. It is an ancient sixteenth-century watch tower that rises on the promontory called Capo di Conca overlooking the sea. The path that leads to the Tower is among the best known and most admired of the Coast. We recommend this walk, because it allows you to discover inlets and natural rocks that are worth seeing. Then Monastero Santarosa the convent is a Dominican monastery founded in 1681 and located on a promontory overlooking the sea, no longer in use since 1912, when it donated all its assets to the municipality. The sweet Santa Rosa was invented here, the classic Neapolitan pastry filled with exquisite cream around the early 70/0s, in honor of the holy founder of the rule they practiced.
